It looks like Apple is getting ready to release the follow-up to the Watch Ultra, which was sold in India for a starting price of Rs 89,900. A new story says that the company will offer the Apple Watch Ultra 2 with 3D-printed mechanical parts that make it lighter.
“Setsuna Digital,” a previously trusted source, has revealed some intriguing details about the impending Apple Watch Ultra. The current model, which weighs 61.3 grammes, is said to be lighter than the new one. It is said to have 3D-printed mechanical parts, possibly including the Digital Crown, Side Button, and Action Button. At the moment, CNC technology is used to make these titanium parts. Analyst Ming-Chi-Kuo thinks that 3D printing is likely to speed up production and cut costs. It’s not clear if this will have a direct effect on reducing the weight, though.
Does that mean that this time the price of the new watch will be less? Well, so far, leaks haven’t given us any clear answers on this. But if we look at what the company did with iPhones, it’s clear that the price won’t go down. Apple has started making and putting together iPhones in India, but the price hasn’t changed. Also, Apple goods are almost never sold for less money in this market. So, you should have low hopes for the next version of Apple Watch Ultra.
There are rumours that the new “Apple Watch Ultra” will come out at the same time as the Apple Watch Series 9 later this year.
